London-based contemporary art space Aisthesis Gallery is shaping an international community around emerging voices and the idea of open, inclusive collecting.
The team asked us to create an identity and a multifunctional website that could balance aesthetics with usability — a platform serving both as a digital showcase and a tool for community growth.
We responded with a visual system and an e-commerce–ready website, designed to deliver a seamless user experience across every touchpoint. The result gave Aisthesis Gallery a unified visual language that brought the brand’s values to life online. Contemporary graphic elements are paired with restrained classical forms, expressing the gallery’s character while leaving room for future expansion.

Logo
The name Aisthesis comes from the Greek αἰσθάνομαι — “to perceive, sense, feel.” We built this reference into the logo, choosing a typeface with disciplined geometry and balanced proportions. Its clean lines convey clarity of perception, while subtle stencil-like cuts evoke materiality, craftsmanship, and the physicality of art.

Typography and Color Palette
We selected a group of three typefaces, each with its own role. The expressive display font, with its fluid forms and graphic character, gives the identity a distinctive voice, while the supporting text faces build a clear typographic structure, balancing contemporary clarity with classical restraint.
Light slate, soft beige, and lilac form a calm background that complements a minimal black-and-white base, allowing the artworks to take center stage. This palette underpins all visual communications and extends naturally across touchpoints — from business cards, catalogs, and posters to stickers and social media — preserving a coherent brand image.

Website
The Aisthesis website was designed around principles of harmony and clarity, inspired by classical architecture where each detail contributes to the whole.
The homepage opens with a rotating selection of works, setting the tone and immersing visitors in the atmosphere.
The gallery section offers two viewing modes, each providing detailed artwork pages with descriptions, favorites, purchase options, and links to the artist’s profile.
The journal is structured with a clear grid and carefully considered rhythm. Its proportions and typography make reading effortless and direct attention to content, whether it’s an artist feature or a themed editorial selection.

We also developed a quiz functionality requested by the client. These interactive modules encourage users to explore the collection, discover unexpected connections between works, and build a personal aesthetic experience — supporting Aisthesis’s philosophy of accessibility and engagement.
The website is fully responsive, with no compromises in content or features: interface, e-commerce, and interactive tools work seamlessly across all screens, ensuring a continuous experience everywhere.
