Art of Cinema is Europe's oldest film journal, first published in January 1931. What began as a request for a website evolved into a broader rethinking of the brand — from the logo and visual language to a concept that extends into the print edition.

The new logo is rooted in modernist typography and type styles of the 1960s — referencing both the journal's historical midpoint and the golden age of cinema. Built on Editorial Grotesc, it scales into a distinct standalone mark: precise, flexible, and contemporary without losing its authority.

The website draws on modernism and Soviet constructivism of the mid-twentieth century. Typography carries the structure — differentiating sections and formats without relying on imagery. The result is a unified system: clearer navigation, new categories, and room to scale — one visual language across both print and digital.
